Tidus, Yuna's Guardian leads a +1/+1 counters deck that is all about turning small creatures into real problems, fast. You start by deploying creatures that arrive with counters or generate them naturally, then you stack additional counters through combat triggers and support spells. Tidus keeps the cards flowing as your team grows, so you are encouraged to keep applying pressure instead of sitting back and hoarding resources. You close games by turning that counter advantage into overwhelming combat, often with trample, evasion, or team-wide buffs that make blocks irrelevant. Counters also give you resilience, since a threat can come back online quickly with just one or two more counter bursts. It is not trying to win out of nowhere, it is trying to become the biggest thing on the table and stay there. If you are upgrading it, counter doublers, efficient protection, and a few payoff creatures that reward huge stats make the deck feel dramatically more explosive.
