If you can copy a decklist, you can print it at PrintMTG.
This page covers:
supported decklist sources and formats
examples you can copy/paste
common issues (and how to fix them)
how tokens and sideboards work
how to request delivery by a specific date
Supported Decklist Sources
We support all major decklist sources, including:
Moxfield
Archidekt
MTG Arena (MTGA)
Plain text decklists (most deckbuilders and exports)
If your list isn’t from one of the big sites, paste it anyway—our importer is flexible.
Accepted Formats (Examples You Can Paste)
You don’t need a perfect export. We use fuzzy matching to find the closest match for card names, and you can change print versions after import.
Format A: Quantity + card name
Format B: “2x Card Name” shorthand
Format C: Lowercase is fine
Format D: Arena-style with set codes
(We’ll still match the card names, and you can choose print versions afterward.)
Format E: Split cards and punctuation
Split cards like these work:
Headings (Optional)
Headings are optional, and they don’t affect printing—but they can make your list easier to read.
Best practice: prefix headings with //
Example:
If you use headings without // (for example, just Creatures), the importer may ignore the line and show a small warning. That’s normal and won’t break your order.
Choosing Card Versions (Art / Set / Printing)
After your list imports, you can change the printing version on the fly using the dropdown next to each card. This makes it easy to:
pick a specific set version
choose alternate art styles when available
keep a consistent look across an entire deck or cube
If your list includes set codes (like MTGA exports), you can still override versions using the dropdown.
Tokens and Sideboards
Tokens
Yes—tokens can be printed.
In most cases, tokens work best when you enter the token name itself. Examples:
Sideboards
Yes—sideboards can be printed.
You can label sideboards either way:
Or:
(If you don’t use //, it may show a small warning, but it won’t stop the import.)
Common Issues (and How to Fix Them)
1) “This card couldn’t be found” / “No match”
What it means: The card name is misspelled, abbreviated too heavily, or has extra text attached.
Fix:
remove notes after the name (like “foil” or “alt art”)
keep the line to “qty + name”
try a cleaner spelling and let fuzzy matching do the rest
Good:
Less good:
2) Headings show a warning
What it means: A line like Creatures isn’t a card, so it gets ignored.
Fix: Use // in front of headings:
Or ignore the warning—your list will still import.
3) Spreadsheet/CSV paste includes extra columns
Fix: Keep it to one card per line with quantity first. If you pasted columns, try copying only the “Qty” and “Name” columns.
4) Basic lands aren’t importing how you expect
Fix: Use simple land names:
(If your export includes set codes, it’s still fine—you can adjust versions after import.)
5) Split cards / special characters
Split cards (like Rough / Tumble) generally work as written. If anything fails to match, try re-copying the exact card name or simplifying spacing.
Tips for Faster, Cleaner Imports
one card per line
quantity first (2 Brainstorm or 2x Brainstorm)
headings should start with // (optional)
avoid inline notes
don’t worry about perfect formatting—import first, then adjust versions in the tool
